Description

head contains any heading for a part of the document, for example sections, appendixes, abstracts.

See also freehead for free floating headings, caption for headings of things like images and tables, title for the title of the documents and worktitle and articletitle for titles of cited documents.

These elements contain head: abbreviation, abstract, acknowledgement, appendix, bibliography, block, chapter, copyright, declaration, dedication, example, frame, glossary, grant, part, preface, resources, section, stanza, subblock, subsection, summary, vita.

Children

These elements may occur inside of head: #PCDATA, br, citation, em, email, endnote, footnote, foreign, glossref, im, imath, indexref, link, name, organization, q, strong, sub, sup, term, tt, u, url
