edoc - DiML: format�

format-elements are used on the lowest level of markup. Only pagenumber has a semantic meaning. The others you should use rarely. Whenever is it possible use semantic markup as defined in group inline.

You can use format-elements in most of the inline-elements. Inside format-elements only plain text or other format-elements are allowed.
