			<p>
Der moderne Gewächshausanbau ist weltweit gegenzeichnet durch hoch entwickelte Technologien, die den ökonomischen und ökologischen Produktionsansprüchen dienen. Der verstärkte Wassermangel und die ökologische Belastung durch Düngemittel und Pestizide erfordert eine kontrollierte und präzise Applikation von Wasser und Nährlösung. Innovative Bewässerungssysteme und -verfahren, wie auch hydroponische Kulturtechnologien mit offener und geschlossener Führung, dienen dazu. Der effiziente Einsatz von Wasser und Nährstoffen ist von großer Bedeutung für eine ökonomische Erhaltung hoher und qualitativer Produktmenge und für die Sicherung der Prozessqualität.</p>
			<p>
Im Rahmen optimaler Bewässerungssteuerung des integrierten Anbaus ist die Bestimmung der Wasserumsätze von Pflanzenbeständen von zentraler Bedeutung. Dabei wird die Pflanze als Teilkomponente des SPAC-Systems betrachtet, welche im Wassertransportweg zwischen Boden und Atmosphäre steht. Die messtechnische Ermittlung des Wasserhaushalts im SPAC-System erfolgt durch Messungen an den einzelnen Komponenten Boden, Pflanze und Atmosphäre. Eine stärkere Aussagekraft über den tatsächlichen Wasserstatus der Pflanze bietet die sensorische Informationsgewinnung an der Pflanze selbst (Phytomonitoring). Die Übertragbarkeit der gewonnenen Daten auf große Pflanzenbestände und die hohe Genauigkeit und Dynamik des Sensors sind Vorraussetzungen zur Präzision der darauf anschließenden Steuerungsmethode. </p>
			<p>
Ein neuentwickelter Phytomonitor (EPM 2005 bzw. 2006), der auf dem Prinzip einer Gaswechselmessung an einzelnen Pflanzenblättern basiert, wurde zur Messung der momentanen Transpirationsintensität von Pflanzenbeständen eingesetzt. Ein Steuerungsalgorithmus, basierend auf die gebildeten Transpirations-summen, wurde für die Bewässerungsführung erstellt und überprüft. Die Untersuchungen wurden an verschiedenen Gemüsearten (<em>Lycopersicon esculentum, Capsicum anuum, Cucumis sativus</em>), wie auch an einer Zierpflanzenkultur (<em>Gerbera jamensonii</em>), durchgeführt. Dabei wurden unterschiedliche Substrate verwendet (Einheitserde, Perlit). Zur Überprüfung der Anwendbarkeit der Steuerungsmethode an unterschiedlichen Anbauverfahren, wurden das Dünnschicht- und das Containerverfahren auf Kulturtischen ausgewählt. Die Präzision und Repräsentativität der Methode wurde in unterschiedlichen Jahreszeiten unter mitteleuropäischen (Berlin, Deutschland) und südeuropäischen Gewächshausbedingungen (Thessaloniki, Griechenland) getestet. Als Vergleichsbewässerungsverfahren wurden die Saugspannungsregelungsmethode und die Bewässerung nach Zeitsteuerung herangezogen. Gleichzeitig wurden Tensiometer zur Überwachung des Saugspannungsverlaufs im Substrat eingesetzt. An <em>Lycopersicon esculentum</em> Pflanzen wurden auch Messungen zur Saftstromgeschwindigkeit durchgeführt.
</p>
			<p>
Die Messung der Substratsaugspannung durch Tensiometer ist eine schnelle und für den Anbauer vertraute Methode. Eine tensiometergeregelte Bewässerung erfüllt jedoch nicht den tatsächlichen Wasserbedarf der Pflanzen. Die Sensoren sind einerseits mit bauartbedingten Schwächen verbunden und geben anderseits keine repräsentativen Messwerte für den gesamten Bestand. </p>
			<p>
Die Saftstromsensoren des LPS-03 Phytomonitor (Fa. PHYTECH) ermöglichen eine relative Messung des Stängelflusses nach der Wärmebilanzmethode. Sie sind einfach zu installieren, haben eine einfache Handhabung und eine hohe Dynamik. Die Sensoren ermitteln den relativen Trend des Saftstroms, was die Übertragbarkeit der Messdaten auf große Bestände ermöglicht. Dabei sind solche Sensoren empfindlich und werden durch die klimatischen Bedingungen beeinflusst. Die Methode zeigte keine kontinuierliche Übereinstimmung zu der Gaswechselmethode.  </p>
			<p> 
Das EPM-Messgerät misst mit einer hohen Dynamik von 1 s. Durch die Verwendung von 8 Blattküvetten wird an mehreren Stellen des Pflanzenbestands gemessen. Im Vergleich zu weiteren Phytomonitoringsystemen ist dadurch eine bessere Übertragbarkeit der Messdaten auf größeren Pflanzenbeständen gegeben. Die Methode ist dabei nicht sortenspezifisch. Bei der Überprüfung der Messgenauigkeit des Gerätes wurde durch Verdunstungstests ein Messfehler von 5,8% festgestellt. Durch ein hohes Bestimmtheitsmaß der Regressionsfunktion der gemessenen Transpirationsmassenstromdichte bzw. Nettophotosyntheseleistung an zwei Standorten der gleichen Konditionen wurde die Homogenität des pflanzlichen Stoffaustausches in Gewächshausbeständen bewiesen. Die Übertragbarkeit der Messdaten auf den gesamten Pflanzenbestand sollte durch Wachstums- und Entwicklungsmodellen unterstützt werden. 
</p>
			<p>
Die Übertragbarkeit der Messdaten auf den gesamten Bestand wurde durch die Bildung der Wasserbilanz über längere Zeitperioden geprüft. Hohe Korrelationen wurden zwischen den gemessenen und den berechneten  Transpirationssummen erzielt. Der Bilanzfehler wurde durch die zeitliche Verzögerung der Drainageabgabe und durch die Fehlerfortpflanzung verursacht.  
</p>
			<p>Die Bewässerungssteuerung nach den gemessenen Transpirationssummen hat die vorbestimmte Überschussmenge, sogar unter hohen Strahlungs- und Luftfeuchtigkeitsbedingungen, erzielen können. Für praxisüblich eingestellten Drainagemengen (20-30%) war der WUE<sub>T</sub> zwischen 0,7 und 0,8. </p>
			<p>
Der durch Tensiometer registrierte Saugspannungsverlauf eines transpirations-gesteuerten Tomatenbestands (Schaltschwelle: 3 l, Gießmenge: 4 l) war vergleichbar zu dem eines tensiometergeregelten Bestandes (Schaltschwelle: 50 hPa, Gießmenge: 3 l). Die zwei Bewässerungsmethoden ergaben keine signifikante Unterschiede in der Fruchtanzahl, Blattanzahl oder Pflanzengröße. Das Wasser wurde leicht effizienter in dem tensiometergeregelten Bestand eingesetzt, ohne dass sich die Erträge signifikant unterschieden.</p>
			<p>
Aus dem Vergleich der Steuerungsmethode (Schaltschwelle: 700 ml, Gieß-menge: 900 ml) zu einer zeitgesteuerten Bewässerung (acht Bewässerungszeiten, Gießmenge: 1200 ml) bei <em>Gerbera jamensonii</em> Pflanzen konnte ein signifikant höherer und qualitativer Ertrag in der ersten Methode nachgewiesen werden. Dabei wurde in der ersten Methode das Wasser effizienter eingesetzt.</p>
			<p>
Minimalste Drainagemengen (&lt;5%) im Sinne einer bedarfsgerechten Bewässerung  konnten durch eine transpirationssummengesteuerte Bewässerung erreicht werden. Es wurden keine Salzakkumulationen im Substrat festgestellt. Der Ertrag und das Pflanzenwachstum wurden nicht beeinflusst. </p>
			<p>
Die Methode der Transpirationssummensteuerung kann durch Tensiometer überwacht und kontrolliert werden. Dabei kann die Trendanalyse der Saugspannung sehr hilfsreich sein. Die Integration von Wachstums- und Entwicklungsmodellen im Steuerungsalgorithmus ist für eine präzisere Wasserführung erforderlich. </p>
			<p>
Die Eignung der zwischen den Gießtakten einer transpirationssummen-gesteuerten Bewässerung entstehenden Summenwerte der klimatischen Parameter sind für eine modellgeführte Bewässerung zu untersuchen. Der Phytomonitor EPM-2006 kann zur Überwachung einer nach Klimamodellen gesteuerten Bewässerung eingesetzt werden. </p>

	<p>
	The modern greenhouse production is worldwide marked by high development technology for economical and ecological Produktionclaims services. The increased shortage of water, were as the ecological pollution through fertilisers and pesticides, requires a controlled and precise amount of water inset. Innovative irrigation systems and processes were as open and closed hydroponics systems, are used for that purpose. The efficient water and nutrients is highly significant for the economical maintenance of height amounts and for better production quality. </p><p>
Within the framework of optimal irrigation systems into integrated cultivation is the determination of the water consumption of a whole canopy very important. The plant is observed as a component of the SPAC-System, which occurs the water transportroute between substrate and atmosphere. The determination of the water balance in the SPAC-System by technological measurements is reached by measuring on the individual components substrate, plant and atmosphere. The direct measuring on the plant by the Phytomonitoring-Technology is meaningful for the determination of the factual water status of the plant. The application of such measuring data on large plant canopies, such as the accuracy and the dynamic of those sensors, are prerequisites for a precise irrigation control.</p>
<p>
A new developed Phytomonitoring (EPM 2005 or 2006), which is based on gas exchange measurements of individual plant leaves by cuvettes, was used for measuring the momentary transpirations intensity of plant cultures. A controlalgorithm, which lanes on the constituted transpirations sums, was developed and examined for irrigating scheduling. Studies were carried out on variable vegetables (<em>Lycopersicon esculentum, Capsicum anuum, and Cucumis saticus</em>) as well as on a floriculture species (<em>Gerbera jamensonii</em>). Different substrates were used (institutional soil for vegetable cultures and perlite for gerbera culture). The applicability of this irrigation scheduling method in variable culture methods was tested on thin-layer and container culture. The precision and representatively of the method was tested on different seasons under central European (Berlin, Germany) and south European (Thessaloniki, Greece) greenhouse conditions. The tensiometer control method as well as a time-scheduled irrigation system were used for comparison purposes. Tensiometers were used for monitoring the suction coursein the substrate. Sap flow measurements were made on a <em>Lycopersicon esculentum</em> culture.</p>
<p>
Although the tensiometermeasurements of the suction course a quick method and familiar to the grower is, is such irrigation scheduling method not corresponding to the actual water demands of the plants. On the one hand, the sensors are bound to constructive conditions deficiencies and on the other hand, they do not give representative measuring for the entire canopy.</p>
<p>
The SF-sensors of the LPS-03 Phytomonitoring (PHYTECH Company) give relative measurements of the sap flow, on the basis of the thermal balance method. They are simple to install and to handle and they are highly dynamic. The sensors determine the relative trend of the sap flow, which enables the transmissibility of the measurements on large canopies, though they are sensitive and can be influenced by the climatic conditions. In our experiments no steady agreement could be proved between the sap flow measurements and the transpiration measurements gain through the gas exchange method. </p>
<p>
The EPM-Phytomonitoring is measuring with a dynamic of 1 s. Measurements are carried out in eight sites (leaves) of the canopy. In comparison to other Phytomonitoringsystems gives this one a better transmissibility of the measurement on big canopies. Evaporation tests were carried out to improve the measurements precision of the sensor. The measurement error is about 5,8 %. A high coefficient of determination of the regression line between the measured transpirations intensity (and photosynthesis intensity) of two sites with the same conditions, was found. This improves the homogeneity of the mass exchange in greenhouse canopies. The measurements transmissivity on the whole canopy should be supported by crop growth and development models. The method is not cultivar specific. </p>
<p>
Water balances were builded over long periods to prove the transmissivity of the measurements over the whole canopy. The measured transpiration sums were high correlated to the calculated ones (through the water balance equation). The time delays of the drainage procedure and the error propagation have caused a balance error.  </p>
<p>
The drain target of 20-30% (usual for the practical experience) of the irrigation scheduling method, based on the measured transpiration sum, could be reached even under high radiation and low humidity conditions. The WUE<sub>T</sub>, as the ratio of the transpired water amounts to the supplied water amounts through the cultivation period, was 0,7 to 0,8. </p>
<p>
The substrate of a tomato stand irrigated after the transpirationsummethod (switch threshold: 3 l transpiration sum, irrigation amount: 4 l) showed a suctioncourse comparable to the one of a tensiometercontroled stand (switch threshold: 50 hPa, irrigation amount: 3 l). There were no significant differences in the fruit number, leaf number or planthight between the two canopies. The water was efficiently consummated in the tensiometercontroled stand, were as the yields were significantly not different.</p>
<p>
 The comparison of a <em>Gerbera jamensonii</em> stand, irrigated after the measured transpirations sums (switch threshold: 700 ml, irrigation amount: 900 ml) to the one, irrigated after a time irrigation-system (eight times daily, irrigation amount: 1200 ml) gave significant differences in the amount and quality of the flowers. The transpi-rationsum method gave more and better flowers, were as the water amounts were efficiently consummated.</p>
 <p>
Minimal drain water amounts (&lt;5%) could be reached after transpiration sum method on tomato and cucumber stands, without salt accumulations in the substrate. The yield and the growth of the plants were not affected. </p>
<p>
The transpiration sum method can be controlled and monitored by tensiometers. For these purpose is a trend analysis of the substrate suction very helpful. The inte-gration of plant growth and development models in to the irrigation algorithm is required for a precise water supply.</p>
<p>
More studies are necessary on the suitability of the sums of radiation, VPD and VPd<sub>a-l</sub>, which were calculated between in succession irrigation times, for modelling purposes. The efficiency of such an irrigation schedule on the basis of climate models could be monitored by the EPM-Phytomonitoring.
