					<head>Allgemeine Beschreibung der eingesetzten Meßgeräte</head>

						<head>LA-ICP-MS - Meßplatz</head>
						<p>Zur Durchführung der Messungen wurde ein handelsüblicher ICP-MS-Meßplatz mit Quadrupol-Massenspektrometer und Dual-Stage-Detector eingesetzt. Die Laserablation-Einheit besteht aus einem Nd:YAG-Laser und wurde nachträglich mit zusätzlichen Einbauten versehen (u.a. Frequenzvervielfachung durch Kristalle, Leuchtdiodenhilfsstrahl zur Laserfokussierung). Der Laser wurde auf der fundamentalen Wellenlänge von &#955; = 1064 nm sowie der 4. Harmonischen (&#955; = 266 nm) im Q-switched-Modus betrieben. Über eine eingebaute CCD-Kamera konnte die Probenoberfläche über einen Monitor beobachtet werden. Gleichzeitig ließ sich die Probe auf dem Probetisch in &#956;m-Schritten in x-, y- und z-Richtung für die Ablation positionieren. Die Laserablation fand unter Atmosphärendruck statt, die Ablationszelle wurde dabei kontinuierlich von einem Argongasstrom gespült. Die verdampften Probenteilchen wurde vom Argonstrom in das induktiv gekoppelte Plasma getragen, wo sie nach Anregung über das Interface in das Massenspektrometer gelangten. Der prinzipielle Aufbau des Meßplatzes ist im folgenden schematisch dargestellt:</p>

						<p>Die Aufschlüsse der Glasproben wurden mit einem Hochdruckverascher bei ca. 140 bar unter Einwirkung von Flußsäure und Salpetersäure durchgeführt. Die gesamte Aufschlußzeit betrug ca. 6 Stunden. Dabei kamen nur Materialien zum Einsatz, die den Anforderungen an hochreine Spurenanalytik genügen. So wurden die Proben mit einem Achatmörser fein gemahlen, in Teflonzylindern aufgeschlossen und in mit Salpetersäure ausgedämpften Meßkolben (Borosilikatglas) aufgenommen und mit Aqua bidest. verdünnt. Die Arbeiten wurden weitestgehend unter Laminar-Air-Flow durchgeführt, um Kontamination der Proben zu vermeiden. </p>

					<head>Datenaufnahme, Datenverarbeitung, Software</head>
					<p>Zur Datenaufnahme der massenspektrometrischen Messungen wurde die mit dem ELAN 6000 gelieferte Gerätesoftware verwendet. Die Rohdaten wurden als ASCII-Datensatz auf Diskette ausgelesen und mit dem Tabellenkalkulationsprogramm MS-Excel weiter bearbeitet. Zur Auswertung wurden die Daten den gängigen statistischen Verfahren unterworfen. Weitere Berechnungen sowie die Kalibrierkurven wurden unter Statistica 5.0 erstellt. </p>

					<p>Die Anzahl der zu bestimmenden Isotope wird durch die verwendeten Rohstoffe für die Glasherstellung begrenzt. Es wurden jene Isotope ausgewählt, die in den pharmazeutisch relevanten Gläsern in Konzentrationen über c = 0,1 g/100g vorkommen und damit zur Unterscheidung der Glasarten beitragen.</p>

					<p>Die Ergebnisse der durchgeführten Laserablation-Bestimmungen wurden mit ICP-MS-Messungen der durch Säure aufgeschlossenen Glasproben überprüft. Zur Absicherung wurden gegenüber der Laserablation zusätzlich jene Isotope quantitativ bestimmt, die in Gläsern in Konzentrationen unter c = 0,1 g/100g vorkommen (Zink, Zirkon, Antimon und Blei). Daneben wird noch eine weitaus größere Zahl an Isotopen in Glas gefunden, u.a. Vanadium, Chrom, Nickel und Strontium [<link ref="bibBi2000">37</link>]. Diese Isotope haben keine Bedeutung bei der Zuordnung einer Glasart und wurden aus diesem Grund bei den Arbeiten nicht berücksichtigt. Der Einfluß auf die chemische Beständigkeit ist aufgrund der geringen Konzentrationen zu vernachlässigen. Silizium entweicht während des Säureaufschlusses als flüchtiges SiF<sub>4</sub> und ist damit in der Aufschlußlösung nicht bestimmbar. Im einzelnen wurden folgende Isotope gemessen:</p>

					<p>Zum druck- und temperaturunterstützten Säureaufschluß stand der Hochdruckverascher HPA Kürner<sup>®</sup> (modifiziert) zur Verfügung. Jede Aufschlußserie konnte mit maximal 6 Aufschlußgefäßen bestückt werden. Die Glasproben wurden grundsätzlich 2fach (je nach Kapazität auch 3fach) in mehreren Serien diskontinuierlich aufgeschlossen. Eine Aufschlußserie benötigte 1,5 - 2 Tage, so daß nach etwa 1 Woche das gesammelte Probenmaterial am ICP-MS gemessen werden konnte. </p>
					<p>

						<u>Durchführung:</u> Zum Aufschluß wurden ca. 100,00 mg Glasgrieß in Teflonzylinder eingewogen, die zuvor mit konzentrierter Salpetersäure Suprapur<sup>®</sup> über t &gt; 24 h ausgedämpft worden waren. Die Teflonzylinder hatten einen Durchmesser von ca. 1 cm und wurden in der Mitte des Aufschlußgefäßes auf einem selbstgebauten Stempel fixiert. In das Aufschlußgefäß aus Quarzglas wurden 3,0 ml konzentrierte Flußsäure Suprapur<sup>®</sup>
						<sup/>gegeben. </p>
					<p>Nach Befüllung aller Aufschlußgefäße wurde der HPA Hochdruckverascher verschlossen, der Innenraum mit Stickstoff begast und nachfolgendes Temperaturprogramm (1) durchgeführt:</p>

					<p>Nach Abkühlen auf Zimmertemperatur wurden die aufgeschlossenen Proben in Meßkolben (Borosilikatglas, &gt; 24 h mit konz. HNO<sub>3</sub> Suprapur ausgedämpft) überführt, auf 20 ± 0,5 °C temperiert, mit konz. Salzsäure aufgenommen und Aqua bidest. auf 10,0 ml aufgefüllt. Die Aufbewahrung der Probelösungen erfolgte im Kühlschrank (T &lt; 6 °C).</p>
