Viola Tegethoff: ELFI - Electronic Research Funding Information System |
The growing extent and the increasing complexity of information both require the use of modern systems of information: on the one hand the aim is a fast distribution of information, on the other hand such information provided needs to be pre-selected and well-directed. Launching ELFI marked the first attempt to combine public (internationally, nationally or regionally) and private research-funding capacities in only one database. One source provides all important information on research such as deadlines, research programmes, application procedures etc. A modern and innovative database-technology and a relevant bibliographic and factual adaptation of the information enables the user to create a personalised web-page adapted to his desires.
