Abstract

The higher education libraries in Hungary are facing an extraordinary and unprecedented social, economic, political and technological development that will dramatically shape the future of libraries and the profession of librarianship over the next decade. Institutional and professional vitality will be determined by the centrality of library collections and services to the benefit of higher education.
