Die Software wurde geschrieben für und getestet mit der MATLAB-Version 9.9.0.1495850 (MATLAB R2020b).; This code is part of the PhD thesis »Direct guaranteed lower eigenvalue bounds with quasi-optimal adaptive mesh-refinement« by Sophie Puttkammer, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Numerical Analysis Group of Prof. C. Carstensen.
It contains a finite element framework to solve the Laplace and bi-Laplace eigenvalue problem. For the computation of guaranteed lower eigenvalue bounds for the Laplace problem a lowest-order modified HHO method and an extra-stabilized Crouzeix-Raviart method are available. For the computation of guaranteed lower eigenvalue bounds for the bi-Laplace problem the package contains an extra-stabilized Morley method. A comparison with the post-processing of the classic Crouzeix-Raviart and Morley method is possible. All methods come with solvers and functions to calculate error estimators to drive adaptive mesh refinement. The thesis mentioned above contains details regarding these methods, numerical experiments executed with this software and a short documentation.
The software was written for and tested under MATLAB version 9.9.0.1495850 (MATLAB R2020b).
The framework of this software is based on the AFEM software package for MATLAB by the Numerical Analysis Group of Prof. C. Carstensen, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Institut für Mathematik. Furthermore, a few files from the PhD thesis »Adaptive finite element computation of eigenvalues« by Dietmar Gallistl, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Institut für Mathematik were adapted. The file "LICENCE.txt" contains a list of all files and states their respective creators explicitly, next to a copyright note in each file.

In the DigitaLRaum project, we are investigating which (interactive) elements a digital (teaching/learning) space needs in order to imitate the experience of the physical space and thus better reproduce the "learning experience" familiar from analogue-synchronous settings. The findings of the project should also be useful for the use case of hybrid digital-synchronous teaching/learning settings with mixed participants (presence and digital).
Between July and October 2021, the above questions were addressed in focus group interviews; from November 2021, the generated hypotheses will be tested using a questionnaire study. At the same time, a digital twin is being developed that will be able to meet the identified desiderata with a significantly expanded range of functions.
In this way, the project will initially examine the university as a use case. The long-term goal, however, is to transfer the findings to (primary) teacher training and to implement digital classrooms and excursion rooms in primary schools.
In the video, the real room and the digital twin are juxtaposed.

Eine Seherfahrung der Filme in einer stereoskopischen Kinoanordnung ging der Erstellung voraus.; The work, which takes an image-historical approach, examines the changing narrative, technical, and discursive arrangements of the stereoscopic feature film, known as 3D film. Based on the viewing experience of selected examples of stereoscopic feature film, the work examines its imagery, its insertion into a broad history of film and cinema, and its historical and contemporary discourses. In doing so, stereoscopic film is developed as an integral part of the arrangements of film, and it is shown that, within the popular format in particular, these arrangements are repeatedly self-reflexively interwoven into narratives. Through the analysis of spatial and moving images that exist only in perception, methods of inquiry are explored that are intended to expand art and visual history as a discipline. Among these methods of inquiry are the film protocols published within this context.
All protocols were based on repeated viewing experience of the 3D-Blu-ray versions of the films on an LG brand television with passive separation of the stereoscopic partial images. A viewing experience of the films in a stereoscopic cinema setup preceded the creation.

We assessed psychometric properties and established normative data for the German Multifactorial Memory Questionnaire (MMQ) and analyzed its association with neuropsychiatric factors across the lifespan to provide a validated metamemory assessment for a German-speaking population.
The three MMQ scales (memory satisfaction, self-rated ability, and strategy application) were translated into German, considering cultural, linguistic, and conceptual aspects. To validate the MMQ and assess associations with neuropsychiatric factors, the Complainer Profile Identification, Geriatric Depression Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and Short-Form-Health Survey were applied in an online study in 336 healthy participants with follow-up after eight months.
Psychometric evaluation of the German MMQ showed normal distribution of all scales and good to excellent validity, internal consistency, and retest reliability. We provide percentiles and normative data for z-score conversion. Importantly, even subclinically elevated scores in depressiveness and anxiety were associated with decreased memory satisfaction and self-rated ability. Furthermore, although the influence of age on the German MMQ scales was minimal, effects of neuropsychiatric factors such as sleep quality, anxiety, and depressiveness on MMQ Satisfaction and Ability varied across the lifespan.
Our study provides a validated German translation of the MMQ with normative data and reliability measures, including reliable change scores. We show the impact of neuropsychiatric factors on the MMQ scales across the lifespan and emphasize the relevance of a multifactorial approach to metamemory as a measure of individualized everyday functionality and the importance of including neuropsychiatric factors into both research and clinical assessments of metamemory.

The master thesis deals with the presence of academic libraries on YouTube and examines the structure as well as the content of YouTube channels of selected academic libraries. In examining the YouTube channels, the thesis draws on the web format analysis of Schuegraf and Janssen (2017), the qualitative content analysis of Mayring and Fenzl (2019), and the analytical framework for explainer video channels on YouTube (AEY) (Heiland et al. 2020), which in combination allow a systematic analysis of the channels and their content.
The data corpus includes three overview tables of the videos analyzed in the master's thesis, including information on the number of views of each video, URLs to their thumbnails, and the text of the video description. In addition, the data corpus contains the code system developed during the analysis with the help of MAXQDA as well as the analysis grid of the thesis. This analysis grid was developed for the master's thesis based on an already existing analysis grid and is suitable for the comparative structure and content analysis of library YouTube presences.

Berliner Leichenhäuser in Zahlen (1794-1871).
Anhang zur Dissertationsschrift „Instrumentalisierter Tod. Die Kultur- und Sozialgeschichte der Berliner Leichenhäuser des 19. Jahrhunderts“.
Appendix to the doctoral thesis "Instrumentalised Death. The Cultural and Social History of the Berlin Waiting Mortuaries of the Nineteenth Century".
Waiting Mortuaries were first established in Berlin towards the end of the eighteenth century and developed in the nineteenth century from initially controversial but also innovative funeral facilities into an institution that is still common today in a modified form. From the beginning, the establishments pursued two different purposes: On the one hand, they were intended to ensure the preservation and observation of apparently dead people for potential signs of life; on the other hand, they served the sanitary police efforts of epidemic prevention and improved hygiene.
In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, "apparent death" was understood to mean a medical condition in which no clear distinction could be made between life and death. For the physicians of the time, it was difficult to determine the death of a person immediately and precisely. In many places, decay alone was recognised as the only certain sign of death. However, since decay occurs with a delay, this created new difficulties in dealing with the presumed deceased.
Since the medical problem of diagnosing death could not be solved at that time, efforts were made to find other solutions. This was the birth of the waiting mortuaries.
The changes in the European funeral system, which became apparent at the latest at the end of the eighteenth century, ultimately led to a striking change in the ideas of death and the dead in Western societies. The waiting mortuaries are one aspect in which these developments can be observed.

This data set was collected in the course "Selected Topics in Physics" in the summer semester 2021. The interestingness of one physics-specific learning task per exercise series could be evaluated on a scale from 0 (uninteresting) to 5 (very interesting) and this evaluation could then be justified by a free text field.
Both a quantitative and a qualitative analysis of this data took place in the course of a master's thesis. From this, a category system of these justifications with the three context-related categories "everyday context", "learning context" and "professional context" as well as the two contextless categories "no context" and "non-assignable statement" emerged inductively through a qualitative content analysis.

http://dx.doi.org/10.18452/24667
Researchers and clinicians therefore need valid and easy-to-use spatial navigation assessment tools to study the impact of different neuropathologies and prevent relevant cognitive impairments from going undetected. However, current experimental paradigms rarely address which cognitive processes they recruit, often have resource intensive set-ups, and usually require active navigation, e.g., using joystick or keyboard, thus confounding cognitive performance with fine motor skills. Yet, for clinical feasibility, time-efficient paradigms are needed that are informative and easy to administer in participants with limited technical experience and diverging impairments.
Here, we introduce the virtual environments navigation assessment (VIENNA), a virtual adaptation of a brief, standardized, and intuitive spatial navigation paradigm (https://osf.io/kp4c5/). VIENNA is designed to assess spatial navigation without episodic memory demands and requires no interface device. We evaluated VIENNA in 79 healthy middle-aged to older participants (50–85 years) and provide evidence for its feasibility and construct validity. Tests of visuospatial and executive functions, but not episodic memory or selective attention were identified as cognitive correlates of VIENNA, even when controlling for participant age and overall cognitive performance. Furthermore, VIENNA scores correlated with subjective navigation ability and age, but not with depressiveness, cognitive complaints, or education. The straightforward administration of VIENNA allows for its integration into routine neuropsychological assessments and enables differentiated evaluation of spatial navigation performance in patients with motor impairments and episodic memory deficits.

In the following year, an extended version of this dissertation was published in the series “Berliner Handreichnungen zur Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft” (http://dx.doi.org/10.18452/23601).
The data analysed here are records of all page views in the Warburg Institute Iconographic Database in 2019, as documented by Google Analytics. In the dissertation, they were examined to trace aspects of the actual use of a scholarly image database of works of art. In this year, the database (launched in 2010) contained approximately 102,000 image records that were grouped into approximately 60,000 ‘folders’ that were arranged hierarchically. In late 2021, this database will undergo a conceptual and technical refit.
The data recorded by Google Analytics consists of the URLs of approximately 111,000 pages in the database visited in 2019 together with some statistical information, inter alia concerning the number of visits, or the number of visits as first or as last page in the database.
Based on this material, different aspects of the use of the database have been explored here, for instance, which pages were used as entry pages to the database, which Simple and Advanced Searches were executed, and how users navigated in the hierarchical structure of folders.

Für FF3 wurde eine randomisierte Stichprobe mit insgesamt 1046 Closed-Access-LIS-Artikeln aus dem Web of Science daraufhin überprüft, ob eine Green-OA-Version verfügbar ist.; This data set was created in connection with a master thesis in the master program Library and Information Science, M.A. at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin in the year 2017.
The research data forms a basis for an analysis of how the publishing behaviour in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) has changed over the past years looking at three different OA-types: Gold OA, Green OA and Hybrid OA. The data was collected on basis of three research questions:
RQ1 How many peer reviewed LIS articles were published in OA journals between 2003 and 2015?
RQ2 How many articles in hybrid journals listed in the Journal Citation Reports 2015 were published OA?
RQ3 How many of the closed-access LIS articles in the Web of Science have been made publicly available through self-archiving (green OA)?
For Gold Open Access all peer-reviewed articles published between 2003 and 2016 in LIS Journals listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (109) were counted.
For Hybrid Open Access all LIS hybrid journals in the Journal Citation Reports 2015 were identified and the number of overall publications as well as the number of OA-publications between 2010 and 2016 counted.
For Green Open Access a randomised sample of a total of 1,046 closed-access LIS articles from the Web of Science was examined to determine whether a Green OA version was available.
