Die Fachtermini im Wikipedia-Portal Bibliothek, Information, Dokumentation

Abstract

In der vorliegenden Magisterarbeit wurde die Fachwortproblematik im Bereich Bibliothek, Information, Dokumentation (BID) untersucht. Fachsprache ist ein wichtiges kommunikatives Mittel innerhalb eines Wissenschaftszweiges. Bestandteil der Fachsprachen sind Fachwörter und häufig werden diese in Fachwörterbüchern definiert. Für den Bereich der Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft gab es jedoch zum Untersuchungszeitpunkt kaum aktuelle und absolut fehlerfrei Fachwortnachschlagewerke, so dass analysiert wurde, ob die im Wikipedia-Portal Bibliothek, Information, Dokumentation enthaltenen Termini zum Bereich BID fachlich korrekt erklärt werden und ob die Artikel den Richtlinien der Wikipedia für gute Artikel entsprechen. Des Weiteren wurde auf die Qualitätssicherung von Wikipedia im Allgemeinen und des Portals Bibliothek, Information, Dokumentation im Speziellen eingegangen.

In the present thesis the problem of the technical terms of the domain of Bibliothek, Information, Dokumentation (BID) was analysed. Terminologies are important communicative devices within science. Part of terminologies are the technical terms which are defined in reference books. However, no up-to-date and absolutely accurate reference books for technical terms were available in the domain of BID at the time of the study. Thus, technical terms, comprised in the Wikipedia portal Bibliothek, Information, Dokumentation, were analysed if explained technically correct, and if the articles are in accordance with the guidelines of Wikipedia for writing better articles. Furthermore, the quality standards of Wikipedia in general and the portal Bibliothek, Information, Dokumentation in particular were discussed in this thesis.
