The use of the internet for the management and delivery of information resources

Content: The internet connects authors with publishers with libraries, and with information professionals in worldwide industry. Information professionals may be researchers and scientists at heart, but have to behave as managers at all. In today"s life they make use of information management over the internet. The internet supports them with access to any library connected as part of a virtual library system. This paper describes how that process works and how many participants benefit from it.
