Konzentration und Kooperation - Das Erwin Schrödinger-Zentrum der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Abstract

Mit dem im Frühjahr 2003 in Betrieb genommenen Erwin Schrödinger-Zentrum hat die Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur Erneuerung und Weiterentwicklung der Literatur- und Informationsversorgung durch die dafür zuständigen Zentraleinrichtungen Universitätsbibliothek sowie Computer- und Medienservice geleistet. Skizziert werden die einzelnen Schritte von der Entwicklung eines Konzeptes bis hin zur Umsetzung der Planungen sowie ein Ausblick auf weitere Verbesserungen im Bibliothekssystem der Universität. Dabei werden sowohl organisatorische und technische, wie auch architektonische Aspekte berücksichtigt.

With the Erwin Schrödinger Centre, opened in Spring 2003, the University Library and the Computer Centre of the Humboldt University Berlin provided a substantial contribution to the renewal and development of the University's literature and information services. The individual steps from concept development up to the Centre's realisation are outlined, including an overview of future improvements in the University's library system. Both organizational and technical, as well as architectural aspects are considered.
