Zwei Individuen der Peloridiidae-Art Peloridium pomponorum; das Männchen "reitet" auf dem Weibchen. Das Männchen produziert akustische (Vibrations-) Signale; das Video zeigt deutlich die Abdomenbewegungen, bei denen die Signale allem Anschein nach erzeugt werden.
 
Two specimens of the Peloridiidae species Peloridium pomponorum; the male is mounted on the female. The male is producing acoustic (vibraitonal) signals; the video shows clearly the abdominal movements that obviously generate the signals.

Recorded together with Jürgen Deckert on 24.02.2014 at 15:30 in Berlin, Germany; Canon E0S 400D camera, MP-E 65mm lense; cold light source; room temperature. Two Chilean specimens of P. pomponorum on native Sphagnum moss. A male is mounted on a female and producing vibrational signals; the vibration of the abdomen is clearly visible.
