Generation Y – Y We Are Not the Ones You Think We Are!
Die Generation Y ist immer wieder Anlass für Diskussionen, positiver und negativer Natur. Mit dem kommenden Generationenwechsel stellt sich die Frage, welche Auswirkungen dieser auf das Arbeiten in und die Identität von Bibliotheken hat. Dieser Artikel soll diese Frage beantworten, aus Sicht der Generation selbst und am Beispiel von aubib.de, einer neuen Plattform für das Bibliotheks- und Informationsmanagement in Bayern. Over and over again, Generation Y is in the center of discussions, negative, as well as positive ones. With the coming generation shift, the question arises what consequences this brings for the identity of libraries and their way of working. This article answers the question from the perspective of the generation itself and with the example of aubib.de, a new platform for Library and Information Sciences in Bavaria, Germany.
