On the stability of the Abramov-transfer for DAEs of index 1

Abstract

Abramov’s transfer method for ordinary differential equations (ODE) transfers linear boundary value problems into initial value problems and systems of linear algebraic equations that have to be solved. K. Balla and R. März applied Abramov’s transfer method to homogenized index 1 differential algebraic equations (DAE). In this paper a direct version of the transfer method for inhomogeneous differential algebraic equations is formulated and stability is proved.
