Although the Archive for Architecture and the Department of Building History and Preservation of Historical Monuments form separate units of the Faculty for Architecture at the University of Innsbruck, they share the same management. This organizational structure allows the two departments to look for common subject matter in their academic work, and then to cover the topics from different perspectives. The subject of a recent architecture study seminar was the transition from analog to digital. This not only represents a major change for design itself, but also for the issue of design authorship, which should not be ignored in the research of architectural history.eng
