Per il commento delle rime di Michelangelo: il madrigale "Gli sguardi che tu strazi"
Tarsi, Maria Chiara
The article presents an analysis of the madrigal Gli sguardi che tu strazi of Michelangelo Buonarroti, as a model for a more extended commentary of the Rime: the multiplications of editions and critical contributions has not been accompanied so far by a ‘scientific’ commentary, which could explain the stylistic elements and the links they maintain with the literary tradition and the historical, cultural and literary context. The following pages are intended as a first contribution in this direction: the introduction focuses on the themes which are developed in the text, on the main stylistic features and on the metrical form, not obvious in the first half of the sixteenth century; they are followed by a detail- ed analysis and a discussion of the autographs of the madrigal.
