Über die Beziehungen zwischen der Schwedischen Kommunistischen Partei und der SED vom Bau der Mauer bis zum Einmarsch in Prag
This essay deals with the relationship between the Swedish communist party and the eastern-German SED during the years between the construction of the wall 1961 and the riots in Prague 1968. During these years the chairman C. H. Hermansson made efforts to realise some socialistic reforms which intensified the already existing differences within his party, on the one hand, and between the SKP/Vkp and the SED, on the other hand. The internal conflicts were about how to finance the party’s daily paper Ny Dag and about the differing perceptions of the events in 1961 and 1968. The latter as well as varying ideas about the signification of the Ostseewoche gave reason for conflicts also with the SED. This essay is going to show that the relationship between both parties was much more inconsistent than generally thought and that it was heavily influenced by the inner state of the SKP/Vpk.
